It’s time to come together as Kool & the Gang bring their distinctive groove to Ravinia this summer! Propelled by horn-laden funk and seamless harmonies, the band makes their Ravinia debut, offering an unforgettable way to celebrate good times.

From Nairobi to Newark, Kool & the Gang has performed continuously longer than any R&B group in history. Thanks to iconic songs like “Celebration,” “Cherish,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Summer Madness,” and “Open Sesame,” they’ve earned two Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, 25 Top Ten R&B hits, 9 Top Ten Pop hits and 31 gold and platinum albums. In 2024, the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, highlighting the universal appeal and lasting influence of the band across generations.

They are joined at Ravinia by R&B icon, Confunkshun, funk legends who have been pleasing fans for over 50 years with hits like “Ffun,” “Shake & Dance,” and “Love Train.” Opening the concert is legendary, pimpadelic funkmaster, Morris Day making his Ravinia debut as the freakalicious frontman for one of the all-time greatest party bands. With performances of hits like “jungle love,” “get it up,” and “the bird,” you’ll be sure to know exactly what time it is!
